What's it all about Mental Health?

It is World Mental Health Day on Monday, October 10.

It is a worldwide initiative that strives to increase public understanding of mental health issues.

Make mental health and wellbeing for all a worldwide priority is the World Federation for Mental Health's (WFMH) theme for this year.

It seeks to draw attention to the challenging issues people have been facing around the world, such as the coronavirus epidemic, conflict, relocation, and the effects of climate change, all of which have a significant influence on people's mental wellbeing.

World Mental Health Day seeks to empower individuals to contribute to long-lasting change and to persuade governments all over the world to do more to support mental health and wellness.

When individuals discuss a person's mental health, they are referring to how they think, feel, and handle life's challenges.

Everyone is impacted by mental health, just like physical health.

It's totally normal to have sadness, rage, or worry every now and then, but when those emotions persist and really interfere with daily living, there may be a problem and it's time to get support.

Guidelines for maintaining your mental health

The most crucial thing is to make sure that this information is communicated with a responsible and trustworthy adult if you are dealing with your mental health or you know someone who is.

Other helpful advice and techniques include the following, which you can share with friends and family if there are times when you don't feel well:

  • Ensure that you get enough sleep.
  • Go outside for some time.
  • Set aside time to look forward to something, such as reading a new book, creating something delectable, or participating in a sport you enjoy.
  • Help those in need because helping others can genuinely make us feel wonderful.
  • Engage in physical activity; examples include walking, dancing, cycling, and even a game of tag or hide-and-seek!
  • Spend time with encouraging individuals. These individuals could be friends, family members, or coworkers. Even if you are unable to meet in person, online hangouts can be just as helpful.

What else can I do if things are difficult?

Make sure to talk to an adult you trust if you have any concerns about your mental health or wellbeing or if you have any questions.

It could be a senior relative or a teacher.

There is someone who can help you if you're having mental health issues, which are fairly prevalent.

Maybe you should talk to your parent, your instructor, or your guidance counselor or your doctor.
